AM Shift 04:15am to 12:15pm / PM Shift 12:00pm to 20:00pm

We are seeking x2 Moulding Shift Managers (AM / PM) to lead our moulding operations at Harboro Rubber Co Ltd. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight of the department, ensuring production remains efficient, safe, and high-quality.

While we specialise in rubber components, we are interested in hearing from manufacturing leaders across any technical moulding or press-based industry who have a strong grasp of operational discipline.

Skills & Technical Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a solid foundation in manufacturing management:

  • Operational Planning: Experience managing production schedules to hit “on time and in full” delivery targets.
  • Performance Metrics: A practical understanding of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap reduction, and cycle time optimization.
  • Resource Management: Ability to manage labour allocation and machinery utilization to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Safety & Compliance: Experience acting as a lead for health and safety, specifically regarding PPE and COSHH standards.
  • Methodical Problem Solving: Ability to use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and fix production or quality issues at the source.
  • 5S Methodology: Experience maintaining a “tour-ready” facility through consistent auditing and organization.

Key Behaviours

We are looking for a leader who leads by example and takes personal pride in their department:

  • Ownership & Accountability: You take full responsibility for your team’s safety, quality, and output. You don’t just identify problems; you see them through to a resolution.
  • Direct Communication: You can take complex operational goals and break them down into clear, manageable tasks for the team.
  • Outcome-Oriented: You have a steady, tenacious approach to hitting targets and maintaining standards, even during busy periods.
  • Commitment to Development: You are invested in coaching your team, managing performance fairly, and building a reliable internal succession plan.

The Opportunity

This is a role for a leader who prefers to be visible and active in the department’s success. You will have the autonomy to drive improvements and the support to develop a high-performing team.
