We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Financial Controller to serve as the lead finance professional within our business. This is a pivotal role where you will provide strategic financial oversight, ensuring the integrity of our financial position while driving the “invoice-to-cash” cycle.

We are looking for an individual who can balance high-level strategy—such as P&L analysis and risk management—with the “hands-on” leadership of our finance and administrative functions. We welcome applications from both established Financial Controllers and high-potential professionals looking to step up into their first lead finance role.

Skills & Technical Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a solid foundation in financial management and team leadership:

• Financial Oversight & P&L: Full ownership of monthly management accounts, providing detailed analysis of P&L and balance sheet variances to drive profitability.
• Invoice Finance Management: Lead the relationship with our lenders regarding the invoice financing facility, ensuring maximum fund availability and daily reconciliation to support working capital.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure total compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, and corporate tax schedules.
• Leadership & Oversight: Act as the line manager for the Credit Controller and Purchasing Co-ordinator, maintaining ultimate accountability for the sales ledger, debt collection, and payroll accuracy.
• Systems Expertise: Experience with Epicor (Visual) and SAGE (Payroll and Accounts) is highly desirable to maintain data integrity and develop advanced reporting.
• Risk & Audit: Act as the primary lead for external audits and manage the company’s insurance portfolio to safeguard business assets.
