Zero Defect Production
We use FMEA, SPC, Deming PDCA, 5S, 8D, quality circles and other quality tools to achieve Zero Defect production. Errors affecting our customers are rare because of our zero defects focus, but when they do occur we respond rapidly and through the use of 8D quality assessment tools we ensure that the problem is not repeated. Less than 1 in 50 of our customers experienced any quality problem during the year. None had a repeated quality problem.
We have spent over 10 years tracking down and controlling every variable in our production unit. This includes every element of the process from ingredient sourcing and control, weighing and mixing through forming and moulding to cryogenic finishing. It covers machine controllers, valves, temperatures, timers, stability, servicing, cleaning, environmental variations, cycle rhythm as well as training, process design, compound formulation, SPC tracking of variables and extensive use of live FMEA's.
