Analysis

After talking to the engineers and taking a close look at the problem, Harboro quickly produced a prototype boot. With just a few modifications, the design was approved and a first batch produced for testing on the production line.

Key features of the new boot are a central fin to separate the two terminals and retain the part to the motor, holes for drainage should water get into the engine and scalloping to clear the cables.
