Sales Office Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relations with existing and new customers
  • Monitor customer base to identify future changes in demand
  • Plan visit schedule and monitor journey plans using CRM system
  • Marketing support to include exhibition attendance
  • Manage internal sales team
  • Support all external sales functions
  • Responsible for all internal sales functions
  • Develop & implement the Sales & Business Development Strategy in line with the Company Business Plan and financial objectives.
  • Monitor sales and marketing activities against performance targets.
  • Improve interdepartmental communication.
  • Liaise with other department heads to keep customer services appraised of any changes
  • Act as liaison point for all sales activities

Candidate

  • Strong team player ethic
  • Must demonstrate strong organisation skills
  • Must be proficient with all Microsoft packages plus additional CRM software
  • Must have strong leadership and motivational skills

Design Engineer (Product and Process)

Continued growth has resulted in the creation of a new exciting and challenging position within the company.

The main focus will be on technical capability covering part design, tool design and process engineering. The role will include support for the Manufacturing and Business Development Teams in the introduction of new business by providing project management and process optimisation expertise for current and prospective customers.

The position would ideally suit an enthusiastic focused individual who will thrive in a dynamic and high achievement team. The post will suit someone with experience within the rubber or related industries with proven qualifications or training in CAD, FEA and Process Engineering.  This demanding role will be project based and require a meticulous approach to detail and accurate timely project planning. Qualifications in Polymer Technology would also support and contribute towards the success of this key engineering role within the company.

Projects – From concept to mass production.

Design – Supporting customers with product design expertise.

Tooling- Designing and or specifying tooling enabling manufacture to exacting standards

Process- Defining, introducing and optimizing processes

Technology – Introducing automated and robotic technology to increase efficiency for existing and new products.

Warehouse Manager 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Manager.   The purpose of the role is to take control of the warehousing and logistics elements of a very busy manufacturing facility.

Harboro Rubber has been trading effectively for many years and is now going through a modernisation process within this department. The chosen candidate will take the lead with this development with the ultimate goal of improving efficiencies with the movement and storage of stock, the availability of raw materials for production and to better forecast departmental output and staffing needs.

To be considered, applicants should have a strong working knowledge of MRP, EDI and bar coding systems. This will ideally have been gained in a production environment where tight deadlines and constant re-prioritising were essential for success. This business has a strong client base within the automotive sector, so experience in this industry would be advantageous.  Candidates should be expert at managing and motivating a workforce, be prepared to do whatever it takes to get a job done well and be considerate of all other departments.  

Key elements of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Take the lead with departmental Health & Safety

  • Ensure accuracy of despatch, particularly considering bonded items

  • Manage labour plans / forecasting

  • Be proactive with customer and supplier contact

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and checked regularly

  • Maintain the levels and accessibility of raw materials available for the production team

  • Manage a team of 4 to work to tight schedules with limited windows

  • Ensure that the warehouse is visually improved and practical in layout

  • Reduce discrepancy levels and maintain an exacting standard

  • Control returnable packaging stock levels

  • Attend and contribute to production and sales meetings

  • Control and use of both Reach and Counterbalance FLTs

  • Maintain current outstanding staff retention levels

  • Measure and improve team performance through quarterly reviews and regular one-to-ones

This position will suit someone who takes pride in owning their area of the business and works with energy and commitment to the wider business. Positive communication and the ability to influence colleagues, customers and suppliers are also required skills.  The chosen candidate will be not only responsible for the strategic development of their department, but must also be prepared to get stuck in and take the lead with the work load.

Press /Machine Operator (Shift work) 

Must be able to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.  Candidates must be available to work shift work in accordance with a rotational system and must be willing to work nights as required.

Product Inspection Operatives

Candidates must be able to work a minimum 30 hours a week, Shift hours 12 noon to 6pm or 6pm to 12 midnight.

Product Finishing / Inspection – part time

Minimum 20 hours a week Monday to Friday afternoon/evening. Shift hours’ negotiable.
